Cutting of the VOD files

For the publication of VOD after your live, you can now “cut” your live after its broadcast to remove the beginning and the end of your live and keep only the relevant content in video on demand.

You can find this function in the settings of the vodalys studio player in the Broadcast tab.

After the live, switch the player to “VOD” mode, choose your recording. Then use the two new fields VOD start and VOD duration. Using the player, find the timecode of the beginning of the video segment you are interested in (for example 2:56 for 2minutes 56), then transfer it to the VOD Start field, then find the timecode of the end of the video segment you are interested in and transfer it to the VOD Duration field.
