Thanks to many technological advances over the past decade, smartphones are now competing with cameras. With an ever-increasing demand, cell phones can benefit from up to five photo sensors on the back and reach a resolution of a hundred megapixels. Beyond their photo quality, it is also important to consider their storage capacity and autonomy if you want to start streaming live with a mobile. Several criteria to consider that quickly become a headache if you are looking for the right phone to meet your needs … And it’s good timing, we have selected for you the three best smartphones on the market in February 2022 to make a live!

3. Pixel 6 Pro – Google

Released in October 2021, Google’s Pixel 6 Pro proves to be a near-perfect photo smartphone. Featuring a 50MP f/1.85 main sensor with 1.2µm pixels, its shots prove sublime thanks to the multitude of details and true-to-life colors. Its ultra-wide angle of 12 MP f/2.2 has a field of view of 114 degrees and its telephoto lens of 48 MP f/3.5 offers a 4x optical zoom. What to make a live of very high quality!

As for autonomy, the Pixel 6 Pro offers a great performance that can go up to 24 hours of use.

The storage is limited to a single offer of 128 GB. A capacity less attractive than its competitors in the high-end phone market.

To buy a new Pixel 6 Pro, expect to pay around €900.

2. Galaxy S21 Ultra – Samsung

Launching in January 2021, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra stands as the best Android student of its generation. Featuring five photo sensors dominated by a 108MP main lens, two telephoto lenses, a 100x zoom and a 40MP front camera, the Galaxy S21 Ultra has plenty to impress with its improved photo lenses and technical specifications.

Samsung’s smartphone also has nothing to be ashamed of with its battery life as it can go up to 25 hours in working condition.

Unlike the Pixel 6 Pro, the Galaxy S21 Ultra offers a choice of 128, 256 and 512 GB of storage. Enough to accumulate the fake live recorded on his phone!

As for the price, expect to pay around €1,000 for a new Galaxy S21 Ultra.

1. iPhone 13 Pro – Apple

Released in September 2021, the iPhone 13 Pro is undoubtedly the most stunning photo/video smartphone to date. Featuring three camera modules, each main sensor is equipped with 12MP f/1.5 with large 1.9µm pixels, a 12MP f/1.8 ultra-wide angle and a 12MP f/2.8 telephoto lens, with a 3x optical zoom.

Even if it doesn’t have a wide variety of lenses or a powerful optical zoom unlike other high-end smartphones, its performance in this area is still impressive, with a real potential for macro photography. The iPhone 13 will give a perfect balance in the quality of your live shots.

With the iPhone 13 Pro, Apple also intends to get rid of its bad reputation caused by the poor autonomy of its products. The smartphone can indeed go up to 28 hours of use, thus surpassing its competitors.

The smartphone also doesn’t fail in terms of storage since it’s sold in 128, 256, 512 GB and 1 TB versions.

As for the price, expect to pay around €1,160 for a new iPhone 13 Pro.

Bonus for smaller wallets: Galaxy A42 5G – Samsung

The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is the perfect companion for smaller budgets. Launched in September 2020, the 5G smartphone is indeed the most affordable of the Samsung brand and even one of the cheapest on the market.

Equipped with 4 camera modules, its main module has 48 megapixels and is accompanied by an ultra wide-angle module of 8 megapixels. Two other 5-megapixel modules are present: a macro and a depth sensor. On the front, the smartphone has a 20-megapixel module that does well in selfies.

Even if it has a lower performance than its high-end competitors, the Galaxy A42 5G doesn’t disappoint with its autonomy of up to 26 hours of use. This is more than comfortable for hours of live streaming!

On the storage side, the device is limited to a 128 GB offer that can however be reinforced with the addition of a 1 TB microSD card.

Finally, the argument that will prove to be decisive, especially in view of its performance quite bluffing, is its price defying all competition: about 300 € new.
